Meet Ken Venick

Ken has expertise in all facets of mortgage banking and credit analysis. He often educates consumers by speaking in front of large groups, as well as providing one on one consultations.


Ken is a 1986 graduate of the University of Maryland College Park. In recognition of his excellent leadership in the association, Ken was awarded the “2010 Professional of The Year” title by the Maryland Association of Mortgage Professionals (MAMP).

 

In addition to MAMP, Ken is a member and serves on many boards of organizations such as: Maryland Coalition for Financial Literacy (Chair of the Executive Committee), Maryland Council on Economic Education (Board of Trustees), Maryland Commission on Financial Education and Capability, Howard County Estate Planning Council, Financial Planners Association, and Maryland Senior Resource Network.


Ken resides in Owings Mills, MD with his wife and two wonderful children.

Amy Bell is a Loan Partner and has worked on the Apex team for almost 20 years. For more than 15 years, Amy has served on a team that has been consistently ranked among the top 1% of mortgage bankers nationwide.


In addition to Amy's Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS) designation, which speaks to her mortgage planning expertise in working with financial advisers to tailor a mortgage that complements long-term financial goals, she is also a Certified Divorce Lending Professional (CDLP), trained in both collaborative and mediation processes, which allows her to effectively work on Professional Divorce teams.


Amy graduated from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business. Amy lives in Virginia with her husband Dwayne and four teenagers, James, Adrianna, Audrey and Evan. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crafts, ghost hunting and has an immense passion for traveling.

Working my way to becoming a Mortgage Loan Processor I knew would be challenging, but also rewarding. What I love about my job is not just helping my colleagues, but also helping borrowers in their journey of buying a new home.


The process can be scary for a new homebuyer. Guiding them through the process, getting them to the finish line, and hearing how happy they are to get into their new home brings me joy in knowing that I was able to be a part in the next chapter of their life.
